England boss Gareth Southgate talks about Chelsea attacker Raheem Sterling. After he was not called into the squad for next week’s European Championship qualifiers.

The 28-year-old has make an impressive start to the season, scoring two goals in three games. But Southgate has decide not to call him into the squad for the trip to Ukraine in Euro qualifiers and the trip to Scotland in a friendly. 

Southgate said: “We’re very please with this team with Raheem brought in. We’ve had to take some people off.” Southgate said. “After three games. I don’t think anyone in This group should be remove.”

“It’s really good to see Raheem start the season well. He’s in good shape, he looks hungry, he’s obviously an important player for us.” UFABET

“But in the offensive position behind the No. 9 there is a lot of competition for the position. I think all the players start the season well. And the group that was with us did very well for us in the last game.

“He hasn’t pick the last two times and that gives people a chance to play and make a name for himself. It’s not an easy call to make. Raheem himself is not happy about being left out of the national team again. But I understand this very well.”
